The Nice Guy’s aesthetic pays homage to a decadent era of Mafia bars and restaurants, where the owners and their friends can enjoy an evening together. The design of The Nice Guy references the late 70’s – early 80’s lounge. The front Elevation stands strong, with an awning inspired by the classic Ambassador Hotel’s Cocoanut Grove, where Robert Kennedy gave his last speech in 1968, and a brass plate inlayed into marble. It exudes exclusivity, much like a traditional mafia social club. Upon entry the Bronze and Gold Stripped mirrored bar face paired with Calcutta Black Marble and Hammered Brass bar top greets you. Its size, scale and shape invite the guests to a unique social experience, encouraging conversation and camaraderie. The dimly lit room speaks of promise and and intrigue for the night . Over 12,000 linear feet of Cedar 1x has been stained dark to provide extra warmth and tranquility. The Stained Cedar is contrasted by Bone White Cedar Walls. The walls have been intricately detailed with Brass Accents, carefully place to the tune of a Frank Sinatra Piano Melody. The booths along the exterior wall command intimacy between the guests, while the larger booths flanking the room stimulate the party atmosphere throughout the night. The fabric used on the booths is vintage circa 1965.

A small sultry performance area has been incorporated in the classic lounge setting featuring a Yamaha Upright Piano. The space uses an abundance of organic materials, custom cedar wall and ceiling design, emphasizing Modernist Residential Architecture. Wide board Black American Walnut flooring, and custom inlaid carpets as well as Classic lighting fixtures hand sourced from various cities in the country add additional warmth and comfort to the space. Beyond the Kitchen walls, tucked away is a Chefs Table hidden behind the food storage shelving. The Chefs Table area has been inspired by vintage Kitchens, designed to emulate a surveillance headquarters.  The Patio offers an intimate social setting, flanked by Cedar walls and marble floors providing a comfortable environment.

The Nice Guy is a timeless, reservation only lounge, providing an extended gathering space away from home for the chosen ‘friends of ours’.
