The Guild Hotel is a re-imagination of the iconic historic Armed Services YMCA building in the heart of Downtown San Diego. Opened in June 2019, the hotel is poised to provide an upscale and unique guest experience as the newest member of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio.
Luca is meant to transport guests to somewhere in the Rivieras. Here the food is the hero and the color; the subtle palette acts as a reprieve from the lobby’s sensory experience.
Role: Sormeh Rienne created the concept and execution of Luca courtyard and garden (including all landscape design). Full sets of specifications and material sourcing was produced. Sormeh Rienne designed the menu design as well as sourced all glassware, plateware and silverware.
